Looking back on my life, I realized my story is really His Story about me. Hindsight revealed how God orchestrated circumstances and people – as a series of God Nods – to fulfill His purpose for me (Romans 8:28).
I realized key periods when I learned, unlearned, and relearned in ways that transformed my thinking, actions and spiritual awareness. I realized the God Nods that aided major transformations: from devout Roman Catholic, to self-fulfillment seeking humanist, to Born Again Christian, to understand what this means.
What I share in my spiritual memoir will aid your life journey, so your story becomes His Story about you.
Like many couples, Marg and Rod are initially attracted by intriguing differences, such as trusting in Fate or God Nods. They try to ‘make it work’ – until a series of heartaches make each realize they match up better with each other’s best friend.
From this point, new challenges arise: Will Fate enable Marg and JT to become companions as they desire? Will God Nods enable Rod and Cindy Lou to develop an agape true love each wants before marrying for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health? Will everyone remain best friends?
When Marg is shouted down while giving her annual presentation on “Great Truths from the Great Books,” this English Lit instructor cannot understand why, and former engineer JT doesn’t know how to help her.
So, they turn to Rod and Cindy Lou. The ‘fearsome foursome’ decide to give presentations and podcasts on “What is Truth?”
Along this God Nods journey, Marg and JT embrace God’s Truth as described in The Bible – and become Born Again Christians. Readers learn how God’s Truth provides the best guidance for living a truly abundant life.
Bib meets Nabeel, a former Muslim who devoutly practiced the prescribed rules of Islam’s Sharia Law – until he became a Born Again Christian. Nabeel asks Bib to join him in telling Muslims ‘doing good deeds’ does not guarantee going to Paradise, but believing Jesus’ death and resurrection assures eternal salvation in Heaven. And, Jesus sets captives free from whatever enslaves them, such as practicing religious legalism, so they can experience present salvation in this life.
God uses Rod and Cindy Lou, and Marg and JT, to aid this mission via a series God Nods.
